Daily challenges
Specialized bakery solutions are complex and expensive
Menlog, Synapsy, Apitic and others offer bakery-specialized solutions with production management (GPAO), recipe sheets, production planning, batch traceability, cost-of-goods calculation. Excellent tools for a business with multiple outlets and industrial baking, but over-sized and costly for an independent artisan who just wants to sell baguettes quickly in the morning. The monthly subscription and learning curve are major roadblocks.
The morning rush that decides your day
Between 7am and 9am, a bakery makes a significant share of its daily revenue. The line grows, every second counts. A slow POS, badly designed or dependent on flaky wifi is a direct problem. You lose impatient customers, your cashier gets stressed and makes mistakes, and the queue deters walk-ins. Breads, pastries, sandwiches and drinks must be one tap away, with variants and combos easy to handle.
NF525 compliance and reports for the accountant
You need to comply with anti-VAT-fraud law, provide an attestation during a tax audit, and send the right data to your accountant each month. Notebooks and mechanical registers aren't enough anymore. Fines can reach 7,500€. But you don't want to spend two days configuring complex software to manage six daily production runs.
Dual shifts and cash reconciliation
Many bakeries run two cashiers in rotation through the day: morning shift 6am-2pm, afternoon shift 2pm-8pm. Each cashier needs their own session with their own opening float, and end-of-shift reconciliation must be fast. Discrepancies (more or less cash than theoretical) must be tracked cleanly. A POS that can't handle multi-cashier sessions is unusable in a bakery.
How digabloPos helps
Fast product grid and bakery shortcuts
digabloPos provides a product-grid interface optimized for the morning rush. Baguette, tradition, country bread, croissant, pain au chocolat, sandwich, coffee — one tap and it's in the basket. You configure visual shortcuts with photos or icons. Variants (size, filling) and combos (sandwich + drink) are two-tap. Total displays instantly with VAT. A good cashier easily hits 3-4 customers per minute on this interface.
Dual-shift sessions and express reconciliation
The first cashier opens their session at 6am with their opening float. At 2pm, they close: digabloPos compares actual cash in drawer with the theoretical amount from sales and flags discrepancies. The second cashier opens their own session. At 8pm, the consolidated Z report gives details per session, per payment method, and per VAT rate. Accounting reconciliation takes 5 minutes instead of 30.
NF525 compliance built in
All sales are automatically chained and secured per NF525/ISCA criteria. The editor attestation is downloadable from your account, ready to present during a tax audit. Daily Z report and FEC export for your accountant are generated automatically. Compliant without thinking about it.
Offline mode when wifi drops
If your wifi drops during the morning rush, you keep selling normally. digabloPos works fully offline, all sales are stored locally and sync automatically on reconnection. No lost ticket, no ignored sale, no added stress.
Fast, clean thermal printing
Tickets print in under a second on a USB or Bluetooth thermal printer. Standard 80mm or 58mm format. Ticket displays your logo, details, VAT, and contact info. Business customers (companies ordering trays) get a clean proof for their expense reports.
How it works
Opening session at 6am
The first cashier opens their session with their opening float (e.g. 50€). Printer ready, today's products synced. Opens in 30 seconds.
Fast checkout during the rush
Customers queuing. Tap baguette, tap croissant, total displayed, cash or card via your terminal, ticket printed. Average time per customer: 10–15 seconds.
First session close at 2pm
Cashier counts physical cash and enters it. digabloPos shows discrepancy vs theoretical and asks for a reason (change error, cash withdrawal). Session closed, interim report printed.
Consolidated Z report at 8pm
Owner prints or consults the day's Z report: revenue per shift, VAT and payment breakdown, top products, daily total. FEC export auto-generated for accounting.

“I looked at Menlog and Synapsy, but they're overkill at 80€/month. I'm an artisan, I sell bread and pastries — I don't need recipe sheets and production management. digabloPos rings up fast, handles my two shifts, prints tickets, and it's free. During an audit, I have my NF525 attestation ready.”
